Title:
DEVICE FOR DIAGNOSING FAULT OF FORCE OR LOAD SENSOR AND ITS SELF-RESTORING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3199129
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable the title device to diagnose a fault which is hardly discovered from the outside or from-the magnitude of an output value by constituting the device in such a way that the device can compare the outputs of a plurality of load or force sensors with each other or with respective reference values.
CONSTITUTION: The outputs of load sensors 12, 14, and 16 are introduced to an indicating device 19, respectively converted into digital signals by means of A/D converters 20, 22, and 24, and added to each other by means of an adder circuit 26. The digital signals are supplied to a fault diagnosing and self-restoring circuit 32 and the circuit 32 compares the outputs of the sensor 12, 14, 16 with each other. When the deviation of each output is smaller than a prefixed allowable value, it is decided that the values of the outputs are almost equal to each other. In case the value of one sensor is largely different from those of the other two sensors, it is decided that the sensor is faulty when the differences between the sensor and other two sensors exceed the allowable value. In addition, when the outputs of all sensors are different from each other and, at the same time, the differences exceed the allowable value, it is decided that two or more sensors are faulty. When one sensor becomes faulty, the circuit 32 increases the outputs of the other two sensors by 1.5 times.
