PURPOSE: To maintain and improve deliciousness and moderate coolness for vendable drinks, and to make effective use of ice stored in an ice house by a method wherein crushed ice in fixed quantity are discharged with accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: An ice house 1 is equipped with a gate 1a, and a swing table 2a of a switching section 2 takes two positions alternatively. A receiving table 3a of a weighing instrument 3 receives crushed ice 8 slid down from the swing table 2a that is placed in a position indicated by solid lines in the attached figure, and discharges the crushed ice 8 after actual weighing is made of the crushed ice. An ice gathering cylinder 4 puts the crushed ice from the receiving table 3a and the crushed ice slide down through the swing table 2a together, and discharges them in a fixed quantity for putting in a cup 9 through an opening provided at the lower part thereof. A controller 7 receives signals regarding the weight from the weighing instrument 3 and executes operations and controls regarding operating times of the gate 1a of the ice house 1, the swing table 2a and the receiving table 3a. Namely, the weight of the crushed ice discharged from the ice house 1 during the initial unstable discharge is measured actually, and the weight of the crushed ice during stable discharge is obtained by per-hour calculation, and fixed quantity can be obtained by summing up the results of both weighings.
