Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily read different pieces of information and, at the same time, to recognize the relation between the different pieces of information by collectively displaying the information required for navigation together with the latest underwater cross-sectional image on the same screen.
CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a memory 2 for displaying underwater cross-sectional images which stores underwater cross-sectional image data prepared based on underwater information from a fish finder, memory 6 for displaying navigation information which stores data for displaying navigation information (regarding numerals and graphics) prepared based on the navigation information from navigation equipment and underwater information from the fish finder, display 1 which displays the data read out from the memories 2 and 6 in the form of pictures, and output selecting means 10 which selectively outputs the data outputted from the memories 2 and 6 in accordance with their priority order. The latest underwater cross-sectional image from the surface to the bottom of sea is displayed in one halved section of the screen of the display 1 and the navigation information is displayed in the other halved section in the form of numerals and graphics.
