To solve the problem of time lag caused by the delay of data obtained from measurement devices or time deviation between the measurement and display intervals, by which the smooth display of electrocardiogram is delayed when a measured electrocardiogram is displayed in real-time on a screen in a display device separated from an electrocardiogram measuring device.
Measured data form the electrocardiogram measuring device 1 is accumulated in an accumulation memory 22, and data in the accumulation memory 22 is displayed as a graph at intervals set by a timer 26 in the displaying device 4. The accumulation amount (the amount of residue) in the accumulation memory 22 is monitored during display, and when the accumulation amount exceeds a specified amount, setting of the timer 26 is modified and display intervals are shortened so as to increase the speed required for displaying. When the accumulation amount is not more than the specified amount, the setting of the timer 26 is modified and display intervals are prolonged so as to delay slightly the speed required for displaying.
