PURPOSE: To surely divide cut foil yarns in a parallel order by surely arranging the cut foil yarns of a cut foil paper sheet and cutting the arranged cut foil yarns with a cut foil yarn-cutting means between yarn-separating elastic disks in a mutually separated state.

CONSTITUTION: The selvage portion 56 of a cut foil paper sheet 54 is fixed to a selvage portion-fixing belt 12 through an adhesive tape, so that the front end of the cut foil paper sheet 54 is extended on the just front position of the lower disk cutter 44 of a yarn-separating elastic disk 50 and so that the cut foil yarns 58 to be cut are placed at a position corresponding to the set positions of the lower disk cutter 44 and the upper disk cutter 46, namely at a place near to the right side edge of the selvage portion-fixing belt 12. The selvage portion-fixing belt 12, a yarn portion-supporting table, a pair of yarn-nipping and carrying rollers, etc., are operated in a state that the free ends of the cut foil yarn 58 groups are nipped between a pair of yarn-nipping and carrying rollers to extend the cut foil paper sheet 54 on the selvage portion-fixing belt 12 and a yarn portion-supporting table.
