A die holder 40 is fit on the dies, the die holder is pressed against the dies and the hardware 12 of an outer cylinder is drawn. With the arcuate die pieces 32a, 32b of the dies, drawing is enabled without deforming the semicircular-arcuate wall parts of the hardware of the outer cylinder having the elliptic cross section in the perpendicular direction to the axis. And, the parallel die pieces 31a, 31b of the die are integrally abutted on the parallel wall part of the hardware of the outer cylinder and able to press this part, so drawing is enabled without irregularly deforming the parallel wall part whose rigidity is lower.
