Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an accurate position senser by forming directly a reflection surface on the surface of an objective lens holder by plating.
CONSTITUTION: The objective lens holder 21 is constituted of injection molding parts of resin material, and the reflection surface is formed directly on the surface of the lens holder 21 by plating. Coils 33, 34 for focusing and tracking and permanent magnets for focusing and tracking constituting an electromagnetic drive circuit in corporation with the coils 33, 34 are provided on the lens holder 21. When focusing drive current is applied to the coil 33 for focusing through a pair of suspension wires 32a, 32b receiving the magnetic force of the permanent magnets for focusing or/and tracking to the lens holder 21 and the rive current is applied to the coil 33 for tracking through a pair of suspension wires 32, the objective lens 16 is driven positively/negatively according to the direction and the magnitude of the current.
