Abstract:
PURPOSE: To save space and reduce cost, by driving a plurality of meters loaded in a motorcar, etc., with a single controller and operation circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The periods of pulse signals of the frequencies according to the input signals outputted from a speed sensor, etc., are counted by a plurality of counters 10a, 10b, and those signals are sent to a controller 12. The direct current signal outputted from a fuel sensor, etc., according to the input quantities, are converted into digital signals by an A/D converter and sent to the controller 12. The controller 12 supplies these inputted signals by time sharing to an operation circuit 16, and the circuit 16 carries out 1/T operation, sine operation and cosine operation. The operated results are again sent to the controller 12, and the controller 12 outputs each operated result to a pulse width modulating circuit PWM corresponding to the meter for indication. The meters can be driven by the single controller 12 and single operation circuit 16 because the meters are driven in time sharing.
