Abstract:
To uniformly dry many long and slender ceramic bodies arranged at equal intervals in parallel to a direction in which the carrying direction is crossed when the ceramic bodies move through one of drying rooms and are dried by mocrowave irradiation.
Using microwave generation sources having two or more kinds of properties, either microwave generation source performs microwave radiation which is not orientated, and the other microwave generation source performs microwave radiation which is orientated, and both the edge parts in the longitudinal direction of the ceramic body 28 are exposed to microwave energy lower than that to the central part in the longitudinal direction of the ceramic body 28.
