PURPOSE: To perform a complete and safe drying of wet chicken eggs after washing them without using any brushes.

CONSTITUTION: This drying device is comprised of a pre-processing chamber 1, a post-processing chamber 2 and a chain conveyor 4 for transporting chicken eggs and circulated from the pre-processing chamber 1 to the post-processing chamber 2 while running in a zig-zag form in each of the chambers. Moisture at the surfaces of the egg shells is evaporated with radiation pipes 15 having high temperature fluid flowed therein at the pre-processing chamber 1 to which the chicken eggs E are supplied, excessive indoor moisture is changed into dew with a dew forming pipe 16 having low temperature fluid flowed therein and then the excessive moisture is discharged. Indoor humidity and indoor temperature are controlled by a pre-ventilator 17. At the post-processing chamber, residual moisture content at the surfaces of the egg shells is dried by blowing high speed air from the cooling pipe and then the moisture content is discharged by a post-ventilator 20.
