PURPOSE: To form an irradiating body easily, and improve a density of the irradiation of the electromagnetic wave in a device for irradiating the mixture gas with the electromagnetic wave to excite the oxygen in the air and for fusing the oxygen and the fuel by coating the top surface of the base with the paste type ceramics.
CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic wave processing device 4 for processing the electromagnetic wave of the combustion air is wound around of an intake manifold 3 for connecting an internal combustion engine 1 and a carburetor 2. In the electromagnetic wave processing device 4, a reflecting body 6 is attached to the intermediate part of the top surface of a first sheet 5a, and an irradiating body 20 is attached to the top surface of a base 7, which is positioned on the top surface of the reflecting body 6, and while connection parts 9 are provided in one end of a second sheet 5b for covering the irradiating body 20 and one end of the first sheet 5a freely to be disconnected. With this structure, the full surface of the base 7 is coated with the paste made of ceramics powder at thickness of, for example, 30μm to form the irradiating body 20. As the component of the irradiating body 20, alumina at 50-60%, iron oxide at 20-30%, titanium oxide at 10-20%, and unavoidable impurity at 2-8% are set.
