Abstract:

To provide an eliminating device capable of easily and inexpensively eliminating space debris in an orbit.

This device has a jacket 1, and crushes its space debris into a plurality of broken pieces 10a, etc., 10e by the jacket, and captures and restricts the fair number of broken pieces among the plurality of these broken pieces, when the space debris 10 up to a specified size collides with the jacket. The jacket 1 includes cloth body layers 2 and 3 of at least one layer composed of a deformable cloth body for surrounding an inside space 4 of the device 100. A foaming body material 6 is arranged inside the cloth body layers 2 and 3 of at least the one layer for holding a shape. The foaming body material 6 can change its volume to the final target volume larger than that from the initial volume. When the volume of the foaming body material 6 becomes the target volume, the device 100 presents a specified shape, and has the specified function.
