The device handles a sheet shape material or a part of flat sheet, and has at least one device equipped with an automatic selection function for lifting/releasing the material which is of a type obtaining a vacuum pump between the suction apparatus and the material by a vacuum forming means using the Venturi action or the vacuum pump. The device is composed of a multi-directional air supply circuit of an automatic selection and an automatic relief valve with a main air commutator, and the commutator is connected to a third commutator interposed between the vacuum forming means and the automatic selection valve supplying to the suction apparatus.
