Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a device which estimates amplitude/frequency characteristics of source signals from baseband components (i) and (q) which are derived by demodulation using two signals having orthogonal phases. CONSTITUTION: An estimating device 19 is provided with combining means 32 and 33 which generate complex components i+jq and q+ji from components (i) and (q), and evaluating means 34-40 which send coefficients kp representing the amplitude/frequency characteristics of source signals by evaluating the magnitude of the amplitudes of the complex components i+jq and q+ji. Thus, it is possible to manufacture a frequency equalizer which controls a transversal filter operating in an intermediate frequency domain or a superhigh frequency domain when the device 19 operates in a base-band domain.
