To improve safety and productivity and to make constitution of device compact by closing four directions of rotors of assel mill type rolling device for executing skew rolling of tube- and bar-shaped rolling stock and supporting rotors freely rotatively in a stationary housing with only an end surface of a rolling region opened.
In the device, a plurality of rolls 2 roll on a rolling stock 1 and each rotates around the axis 3 thereof, and thus the area of cross section of the rolling stock 1 is decreased. A rotor 8 of this device is supported in a end wall 13 of a stationary housing 14 and at an end part facing the roll 2 through a roller bearing 12; the end part of the opposite side of the roll 2 of the rotor 8 is structured so as to be supported in the other wall part 16 of the housing 14 through a bearing 15. By this structure, the stationary housing 14 have a structure, leaving end surface side of the roll 2, having its four sides closed surrounding a driving mechanism of the roll 2 and rotor 8. Further, on the side surfaces, a supporting surface and an arrangement surface are provided.
