Abstract:
PURPOSE:To arrest effectively fine articles contained in exhaust gas as well as to enable arrested fine articles to be effectively removed while being cleaned by providing both a fine article receiving section and a reverse cleaning means for a filter body equipped with a dust containing gas passage and a clean gas passage. CONSTITUTION:Exhaust gas from a diesel engine is introduced into the dust containing gas passage 34 of a filter body 33 housed in a casing 31 via sealing members 32 from an introduction pipe 37. Resultantly, most of exhaust gas passes through a platy body 36 and is led to a deriving pipe 38 via a clean gas passage 35 while fine articles such as carbon and the like contained in exhaust gas are not allowed to pass through the platy body 36 so as to flow out to a particle receiving section 41, the filter body 33 having thereby arrested fine articles is processed by reverse cleaning after a specified period of time has elapsed. Namely, pressurized gas is injected from a nozzle 40 so as to be fed to the dust containing gas passage 34 from the clean gas passage 35 via the platy body 36.
