PURPOSE: To increase anchoring force with simplified structure by a method wherein holders of chucks are pulled outwardly by operation of a jacking means with a projecting part of a belt-like body held firm, and wedges are made to thrust deeply into insert holes.

CONSTITUTION: A belt-like body 1 is fixed firm in a natural ground 2 and grout 4 is injected to places surrounding the belt-like body 1. After curing of the grout 4, a pressure bearing body 10 is provided to a protection wall 3, and the belt-like body 1 is temporarily fixed with wedges 12A, 12B inserted into insert holes 10a. And a press-in body 13A is placed on the wedges 12A, 12B, and jacks 15A, 15B and holders 14A, 14B are placed thereon. By turning clamping handles 18A, 18B, a space between the holders 14A, 14B is narrowed, and chuck pieces 16A, 16B are pressed against the opposite faces of the belt-like body 1, and thereby the belt-like body 1 is held tight. Then the hydraulic jacks 15A, 15B are extended and the wedges 12A, 12B are forcibly pressed into the insert holes 10a, thrusting the press-in body 13 toward the natural ground side. Thereby the belt-like body 1 is fixed firm to the pressure bearing body 10.
