PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for forming a collar on a workpiece made of a sheet metal such as a sheet metal plate.SOLUTION: The invention relates to a device for processing a workpiece, the device comprising: a punch 1 on one side of the workpiece 4; a die 2 on an opposite side of the workpiece 4; and a conductive electric heating system for generating electric current that flows through the workpiece 4 starting from a component 5 situated on the one side of the workpiece 4 outside the punch 1 to a component 6 situated on the other side of the workpiece 4 outside the die 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
