Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a conventional symbol generator with a color mixing function without reducing the quality of an output video signal.
CONSTITUTION: A symbol generator 10 e.g. for generating a video color signal is provided with a means for determining the position of a boundary among various colors, a means for applying 1st and 2nd signals to each determined boundary position, a means for applying two color signals to each 1st signal in accordance with the 1st signal, a means for changing the color value of a color signal by multiplying one of the two color signals by the 2nd signal, and a means for combining a signal and the multiplied signal on a position determined so as to apply the continuous position of an output color signal.
