To provide a device for generating a gaseous reduction agent for exhaust emission control of an internal combustion engine, practically converting a well-known method of operating for an automobile, by a catalyst.
This device according to this invention to generate a gaseous reduction agent from a press body 6 for a reduction agent introduced in exhaust purified by a catalyst comprises a scavenging container 5 closed by sealing a pressure for the press body 6 and provided in a bottom region with a heating device 7 and a gas scavenging space 8 connected to the heating device; and a regulating valve 10, causing inflow of exhaust gas to a reaction chamber 11 having a valve opening part connected to an exhaust gas conduit 1 and thermally converting a gaseous reduction agent into a gaseous reductive product, and connected to a gas scavenging space.
