Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a process effective and to reduce necessary processing resources by simultaneously executing the generation of a plane equation and the sorting of a vertex.
SOLUTION: In a step 132, the delta of a side is calculated. In a step 134, the gradient of a sorted side is calculated. In a step 136, the Y value of a start/ end point of the sorted side is determined. In a step 138, the X value of the start point of the side is calculated based upon the value of the sorted side. When depth/color is requested, a Z value and a partial derivative for the color are determined in a step 140. Then the Z value of the sorted side and the start point value of the color are calculated by adjusting a vertex to a 1st picture element (step 142). Consequently the sorting of the vertex can be executed more quickly as compared with time required for other methods by using less processing resources.
