To provide an illumination element capable of attaining uniform white color using a light emitting diode.
On the surface of a semiconductor light emitting element (210), a thin film light emitting material layer (230) containing a light emitting material is formed with a specified thickness. The light emitting material layer having a specified light emitting particle density is formed under such a state as the light emitting element is coated while being mounted on the mounting surface (220). The thin film light emitting material layer containing specified materials is arranged to have a plurality of layers.
