To obtain the synthesis print generating device with excellent operability by selecting any of a plurality of decoration objects displayed on a monitor screen by means of a multi-direction operation switch, confirming a synthesized image of a portrait of the user on the screen and printing it out.
A video camera 2 displays a realism image of the user picked up via a half mirror 10 on a monitor 4. The user visually recognizes its own image via the half mirror 10 as a moving image. The user deposits a prescribed charge to a charge deposition device 8 and designates, e.g. 'seal production'. A CD-ROM 6 stores a plurality of decoration image data and e.g. 16 sets of the decoration object images are simultaneously displayed on the monitor 4. A joy stick 70 is used to select a desired decoration image and a switch 7 is used to decide the image, then the designated decoration image and the its own image of the user are superimposed and displayed on the monitor 4. When the user decides its pose and the switch 7 is used to decide it, a video printer 3 prints out the image on the monitor 4 as a seal.
