Title:
DEVICE FOR HANDLING MINUTE FLUID
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3768486
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive device for handling minute fluid, which easily controls flows of multiple kinds of the minute liquid (minute samples) without relying on external drive sources and is better suited for POC inspections.
SOLUTION: In the device 1 for handling the minute fluid, a fine groove 10 making up a microchannel which makes a liquid sample flow therein by using its capillary phenomenon, is formed, and reservoirs 6, 7 which are used for injecting the samples S1, S2 into the fine groove 10, are formed on one edge side of the fine groove 10 of the device 1 for handling the minute fluid. In addition. A final reservoir 8 which is used for taking out the samples S1, S2 flowing in the fine groove 10 by using the capillary phenomenon, is also formed on the other edge side of the fine groove 10 of the device 1 for handling the minute fluid. The reservoirs 6, 7 are made up so as to open in the atmosphere. The final reservoir 8 is sealed at its bottom section by a breakable and removable sealing projection 11, and is opened in the atmosphere by breaking and removing the sealing projection 11.
