To provide a filtering/drying device capable of efficiently filtrating and drying a relatively small amount (for example, such as 1 m3) of a highly concentrated slurry and surely discharging the whole amount of a cake after dried.

This filtering/drying device is provided with a pressure resistant vessel 12 which is capable of storing the highly concentrated slurry therein and the lower end part 12a of which is formed downwardly into a truncated- cone shape with a small diameter and the bottom end of which is opened, a filter element 14 (or a filtering chamber 12c) having a filtering face 14a (or 12b) which is arranged in the pressure resistant vessel, a stirring device 16 having stirring blades 16a which stir the truncated-cone lower end and an on-off valve 18 which opens and closes the lower end opening of the pressure resistant vessel.
