PURPOSE: To provide a clamping device for a vertical band saw capable of uniformly holding a workpiece in a cutting process even if the workpiece is put in an inclined state and capable of freely using a table so as to enable free sawing work by hand, in a vertical band saw.
CONSTITUTION: A clamping jaw 8 is formed as a clamping bridge 7, this clamping bridge 7 is horizontally movably installed so as to stand up on a clamping face 5 in both end part, this clamping bridge 7 is made slidable on the guide parts 20, 21 through guide members 22, 23, and is pivotally fixed to these guide members 22, 23 so as to be turnable with a tilting shaft 25 parallel to the clamping face as the center, and respective single clamping devices 40, 41 adjustable by handles 24, 28, 29, are rotatably pivotally fixed to the end parts of the guide members 22, 23 and the clamping bridge 7.
