Title:
DEVICE FOR IDENTIFYING SPHERICAL BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3076542
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To read the identifying information of a spherical body with high accuracy in a short time.
SOLUTION: A ball 1 which is a spherical body having the identifying information such as a bar code, is charged to a lead-in path 12 of a down slope to be guided to an identifying discharge path 12b. The ball 1 is captured by a cutout part 20a of a rotor 20, to be forcibly transferred in a travelling direction while rotated by the rotation of the rotor 20, the turning force is simultaneously given thereto in a direction perpendicular to the travelling direction by the rotation of a pair of parallel rollers 18a, 18b, so that the ball 1 is rotated in a state that the rotating directions are complicatedly changed. During the rotation, the bar code on the surface of the ball 1 is read by a bar code reader 22 mounted on an upper part, and the ball 1 is discharged in the travelling direction by the further more rotation of the rotor 20.
