PURPOSE: To readily obtain objective information of clothing from a great number of pieces of information of clothing.
CONSTITUTION: A great number of clothing pattern data showing patterns (clothing patterns) of each part constituting clothing are classified into brands and registered. Plural picture images indicating a symbol of each brand are shown (step 152) to make an operator select a brand to which the target clothing pattern belongs. When the brand is selected, plural design picture images corresponding to the clothing pattern which belongs to the selected brand is shown (step 168) to make an operator select a design picture image corresponding to the objective clothing pattern. When the design picture is selected, the corresponding clothing pattern data are taken to indicate the clothing pattern (step 182).
