Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can discover the optical characteristic deterioration of a film adhering to a core with a simple constitution.
SOLUTION: A device for inspecting the end face of an optical fiber connector is provided with a magnifying optical system 2, a front face illuminating optical system 1, a CCD camera 6, and a CRT 10. The device is also provided with an indirect illuminating optical system 7 which illuminate the end face of an optical fiber connector 100 from one side other than the front side and a change-over switch 9 for appropriately switching the optical systems 1 and 7 to each other.
