Abstract:
PURPOSE:To uniformly detect surface projection all over the surface by using a negative pressure type slider for an inspecting head. CONSTITUTION:The inspecting head is used, which is obtained by attaching an AE(acoustic emission) sensor 2 to the negative pressure type slider 1. Thus, the surface projection of a magnetic disk medium is uniformly detected all over the surface with high accuracy without receiving the effect of a circumferential speed.
