Title:
DEVICE FOR INTERRUPTING SWIMMING OF FISH
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH02100293
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce its power consumption, by placing a plurality of electrodes at regular intervals and parallel to each other, and setting the ratio of the distance between adjacent electrodes to the length of each of the electrodes to a value that satisfies a specific relation.

CONSTITUTION: A plurality of flat-plate-shaped electrodes 1 are placed at regular intervals and parallel to each other at its swimming-interrupting portion beneath the sea, and one of the output terminals of its electric source 2 is connected across every other electrode 1 while the other output terminal connected across the rest of electrodes 1 so as to provide the electrodes 1 with respective potentials in such a manner that adjacent electrodes 1 have different potentials. Then each of the distances D between the electrodes 1 and the length L of each of the electrodes are set to respective values so that the ratio of D to L satisfies 1≤D/L≤8. When D/L is smaller than 1 or bigger than 8, its power consumption is rapidely increased. Its power consumption can thus be reduced.
