To provide a device for inverting container for material to be packed which has a simple structure, can discharge an emptied container reliably, smoothly and efficiently, reduces noise and damage of the container and prevents foreign matter from being added into packaging bags.

The device for inverting container for material to be packed includes a feed conveyor 3 which conveys a row of a plurality of containers C for containing a material to be packed, wherein the container at the head of the row of containers is positioned by a stopper 21. Meanwhile, a separating stopper 13 temporarily pushes back the containers from the second one on to separate them from the container at the head. An inverting shaft 27 is rotated by 180° and the container is inverted to discharge the material to be packed. Subsequently, the container is released and is caused to butt against an overturning member 47 just below the container to allow the container to fall down sideways over a discharge chute 57. The container rolls down on the discharge chute.
