Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a device one unit of which acts as several units of the conventional hose layers (a hose laying can) at the time of laying fire hoses on site and which is capable of automatically winding the hoses even at the time of recovering the hoses.
CONSTITUTION: This device has a winding drum 1 for the fire hoses placed on a self-traveling vehicle and a driving device (friction driving roller) 2 for rotating this winding drum 1 forward and backward. The winding drum 1 is segmented by partition collars 3 to plural winding positions 8. Driving and guiding rollers 5, 6, 7 for the hoses H may be aligned to the winding positions in the winding drum 1 by changing the positions of all of these rollers along their shaft bars.
