PURPOSE: To improve an installation property by installing a heat insulating material and a soundproof material on an attic portion on the upper portion of a lifting passage and the peripheral wall of the lifting passage corresponding to the attic portion, providing a ventilating fan on the upper portion of the lifting passage, and providing a louver or a ventilat ing fan on a pit portion.
CONSTITUTION: A lifting passage 1 is extended up to an attic 8 for housing a steel tower 21 and a driving device 22, a control device 23, etc., which are provided on the steel tower, and its periphery is surrounded by a pit inner periphery portion 4, a lifting-passage peripheral wall 5, a riding portion door 6, an attic lifting-passage peripheral wall 7, and the attic 8. Heat insulating materials 10, 11 reduce the entrance of heat from the attic 8 and the attic lifting-passage peripheral wall 7, reduce the sudden temperature change of the equipment installing space 3 of the attic and, further absorb noise generated from the driving device 22, etc., while reducing the propagation thereof outdoors. By sucking air out of the lifting passage by means of a ventilating fan 12 provided on the upper portion of the lifting passage and by introducing the outside air into the lifting passage by means of a louver 13 provided on the lowest end pit, a high temperature air is discharged outdoors while lessening dew condensation onto the driving device 22 and the control device 23 when the temperature is lowered at night.
