Abstract:
To provide an ultrasonic transmission device capable of efficiently transmitting an ultrasonic wave generated from a large-diametric vibrator to a flexible transmission line (fine diameter fiber).
In the transmission device 10, the base 13a of a tapered mode filter 13 for selectively transmitting the L(0, 1) mode of a poshmer crie wave is joined to a vibrating surface of a vibrator 12, one end of the transmission line 11 having flexibility is joined to its tip, and an applicator 14 is joined to the other end thereof. An average gradient of the mode filter 13 is 10°-60°, and is formed of a fused quartz which is the same material as that of the transmission line 11.
