PURPOSE: To simultaneously increase the loading abilities for cartons from feed conveyers or the like onto pallets by a palletizer without accelerating the operating speed of the palletizer.

CONSTITUTION: A device for loading cartons 11 and 12 arriving on feed conveyers 13 and 14 onto pallets 10 is disclosed. A palletizer 15 is used therefor. The palletizer 15 performs not only turning action but also vertical action for lifting the cartons 11 and 12 from the feed conveyers 13 and 14 with a suction head 27 and releasing the cartons 11 and 12 on the pallets 10. In order to improve the ability of the palletizer 15, the palletizer is provided with articulated arms 16 and 17 for loading both the cartons 11 and 12 onto the pallets 10. As a result, the ability of the palletizer 15 is improved although the operating speed of the articulated arms 16 and 17 is not changed.
