Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable a quick and reliable fixing by fixing an attachment part at an engaging position when two push buttons fitted to an upper surface are depressed.
CONSTITUTION: When a camera is fixed to a tripod, for example, a device for locking is provided with an upper surface 1 including some parts of the device, and the other parts are fixed to the camera. Some centering and horizontally positioning means 2 for camera which are fixed to the upper surface 1 at a forward portion A are contained in the plain of the upper surface 1. The centering means 2 should desirably be a guide pin chamfered at four positions, and can be used also as a means for all other centering. The forward portion A on the upper surface 1 is provided with a fixing claw sliding along an axis XX' on the upper surface 1 when the fixing is performed by pressing front and rear push buttons 51 ocated on the upper surface 1. Thus, the engagement of the device with the camera is facilitated, and the camera can be fixed to the upper surface.
