Abstract:
PURPOSE:To contrive to make a device small in size, low in cost and so on by providing an actuator moving a lock lever to be engaged in a lock plate while overcoming a spring and the like so that a geared type locking mechanism can be employed. CONSTITUTION:The lock lever 23 of a locking device 20 is usually engaged in the recess section 21a of a lock plate 21 by a spring 25 so as to be locked. On the other hand, when a slide is adjusted, an actuator 24 allows the lock lever 23 to be engaged with and/or disengaged from while overcoming the spring 28, and a slide driving device 10 also allows a seat cushion te be forwarded and/or reversed concurrently. And when the operations have come to an end, if the lock lever 23 is found to have not been engaged in this permits No.2 position sensor 26 to detect the situation so that the slide driving device 10 is operated to the direction corresponding to the signal detected by No.1 position sensor 25. As a result, when the lock lever 23 is moved so as to be normally engaged in, this permits No.2 position sensor 26 to detect the situation so that the slide driving device 10 is suspended.
