Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To machine various bars by providing a striking device with which positioning is executed by striking the bars including materials to be formed having special cross section against the other end of an index device with which one end of the bar is clamped and which is rotated.
SOLUTION: The striking device 17 is arranged on the Y-axis of the index device 13. Before machining the bar W, when a moving frame 29 is positioned from the stand-by position in the positioning position (the position shown by a two-dotted chain line) by operation of a striking cylinder 33 for elevating and lowering of the device 17, the index device 13 is moved to the left, the bar (the material to be formed) W clamped with a chuck 15 is moved to the left, its tip is fit into a groove provided on a plate for a striking set of the striking device 17 and positioning is executed. After completing this positioning, the moving frame 29 is returned to the stand-by position (the position shown by a full line). At this time, a cover 45 is also returned to the home position by the energizing forces of springs 47F, 47B. After that, the index device 13 is rotated, the bar is indexed in a desired position and machining is executed.
