PURPOSE: To make it possible to perform magnetization of a permanent magnet component having a high coercive force by a method wherein a magnetizer is provided with coils for induction heating and cooling means using a fluid.
CONSTITUTION: When an AC voltage is applied to coils 6 for induction heating prior to the performance of magnetization, a magnetic flux is made to flow through magnetic poles 3 for magnetization a permanentmagnet 1 a rotor axis 2 the permanent magnet 1 the magnetic poles 3 for magnetization a yoke 4 for magnetization, an eddy-current loss is generated in the respective parts of the poles 3, the magnet 1, the axis 2 and the yoke 4 and the magnet 1 is heated. The temperature of the magnet 1 rises and thereafter, when a DC high current is made to flow through coils 5 for magnetization, a magnetic flux is made to flow through the same magnetic circuit as that in the case where an AC high current is made to flow through the coils 5 and as the coercive force of the magnet 1 is reduced, the magnetization is easily performed. Then, when compressed air is sent in through compressed air nozzles 7, the pressure of the air is suddenly reduced in the blow-off ports of the nozzles 7, whereby the temperature of the air drops and the magnet 1, the poles 3 or the axis 2 can be cooled. Thereby, a temperature rise of the magnet 1 becomes easier than that in the case where the magnet 1 is singly provided in a magnetizer and a good magnetization of a permanent magnet component is performed.
