To perform powerful magnetization work efficiently, quickly and inexpensively such that deficient magnetization does not occur even in case of a multipolar ring permanent magnet having an extremely small diameter and a narrow magnetization pitch and magnetization quality can be enhanced.
A heating section 10 and a magnetizing section 12 are arranged as independent structures in the axial direction such that the holding member 22 of an article 20 to be magnetized can relatively move to the heating section and the magnetizing section. The heating section is set at a temperature not lower than the Curie point at a portion to be magnetized and the magnetizing section is set at a temperature lower than the Curie point. The article heated at the heating section is transferred to the magnetizing section and magnetized.
