This device for maintaining freshness has an ozone-generating means, a removing means for adsorbing and removing ozone, ethylene oxide, etc., and a ventilation fan 6 arranged in a main body, to which the air in the room is circulated and ventilated, in order from the upstream of air flow in the main body, and further, a bypass passage 7 corresponding to the above removing means, and a damper 8 for opening and closing the bypass 7. The device for maintaining the freshness further has a blowoff chamber 9 at the outlet side of the ventilation fan 6, a blowoff opening 3A on at least one face of the chamber 9 facing to the room, and a wind direction-changing device installed in the blowoff opening 3A so as to regulate the blowoff direction.
