PURPOSE: To simply and easily bond a lead wire to a tab for electrode use and to accurately maintain the formation and the dimensional accuracy of an electrode terminal after the bonding by a method wherein a material is cut to a prescribed size, cut materials are put together and bonded by a welding operation, a tab is pressed and shaped and a size is detected in a consistent manner.

CONSTITUTION: The following are provided: a material supply part 1 to continuously supply materials for a tab A for electrode use and a lead wire B after they have been chucked individually; cutter mechanisms 2, 3 to cut the materials A, B fed from the supply part 1 via nozzles 5, 51 to a prescribed size. In addition, the following are provided: a welding part 4 to bond the tab A for electrode use and the lead wire B by a welding operation; a chucking part 15 to ctuck one part of an electrode terminal C where the lead wire B has been connected to the tab A for electrode use at the welding part 4; a putting-together and shifting part 50. A material-reversing mechanism 6 to reverse the electrode terminal C and to transfer it to a next process is provided. A holder 7 to take out the electrode terminal C from the material-reversing mechanism 6 is provided; a metal mold 8 to press and shape the tab A and a pressing and shaping part 11 where a size detection part 9 and a product taking-out part 10 are installed are provided in a truck to shift the holder 7.
