PURPOSE: To enable an easy measurement of the distance between nails of a PACHINKO game machine, encoding and transmitting it.

CONSTITUTION: Reading windows 16 of a measuring device 10 are disposed to oppose each other on a pair of nails 6, respectively, from above a transparent glass face plate of a PACHINKO game machine or directly so as to astride the selected pair of nails 6. When reading of the measuring device is started, a reading portion 14 takes in the state of the nails. A central processor analyzes data, calculates the distance between the selected pair of nails 16, and the calculated data of the distance between the nails are stored in a memory together with data of corresponding table No. and name of the nail positions. These data in the memory can be indicated in a display portion by an operation of an operating portion. Further, the data accummulated in the memory can be transmitted to personal computers, ball supplying computers or the like through a communication portion which is an interface.
