To provide a binder for articles such as a leek and the like, which rotates around a horizontal rotary shaft, in which articles to be bound with the end parts aligned are mounted on a horizontal bucket arranged on the same circumference of the bucket fitting plate fitted in the direction orthogonal to the rotary shaft, and which can complete binding until the articles to be bound make one revolution to cut the end part as necessary, and can effectively bind the articles to be bound in a narrow working space and carry them.

The binder comprises bucket fitting plates which are rotatably and pivotally mounted on the left and right sides of and orthogonal to the rotating shaft, which is arranged by orientation in the horizontal direction, and intermittently rotated, partially cutting type buckets a plurality of which are arranged circumferentially on the rotating direction of the bucket fitting plate at prescribed intervals, and an article holding mechanism equipped with a function for holding the articles which are stored in the bucket in the horizontal direction in a prescribed quantity and for separating the articles when dropping them, in which the articles stored in the prescribed quantity in the bucket and held by the article holding mechanism are bound at the bucket cutting part.
