To provide a simplified and space-saving chip treatment device.
The chip treatment device separating chips from a dirty liquid which is a coolant mixed with the chips generated during workpiece machining includes: a cylindrical filter 20 vertically placed below an inflow port 11 of the dirty liquid; an opening/closing lid 22 provided on a bottom face 21 located in the lower end part of the cylindrical filter 20; a drive mechanism 30 rotating the cylindrical filter 20; a chip tank 40 provided below the cylindrical filter 20 and collecting chips; and a coolant recovery vessel 50 provided so as to surround the cylindrical filter 20 and recovering the coolant having passed through the cylindrical filter 20. The coolant passes through the cylindrical filter 20 from the inside to the outside by the centrifugal force of the rotating cylindrical filter 20 in the constitution of the device.
