Abstract:
PURPOSE: To limit energy consumption of an air floating type belt conveyor so as to perform stable carrying.
CONSTITUTION: The floating amount of a belt 37 from a traveling surface 36 is detected by floating amount detecting sensors 41 and 42 and transmitted to a floating amount detector 31. A calculator 48 operates comparison between the detected floating amount and a preset optimal value and calculates the opening level of a pressure regulating valve 32 based on the sensors while feeding back a pressure detected value from a pressure converter 40. Even when there is a change in a load 31 mounted on the belt 37, the floating amount of the belt 37 is controlled so as to reach the optimal value and stable carrying is continued by limiting energy consumption.
