Abstract:

To improve deterioration of combustion of an internal combustion engine during recovery from fuel cut in the internal combustion engine mounted in an automobile or the like.

A device for controlling the internal combustion engine is provided with a fuel supply means 207 supplying the internal combustion engine 200 with fuel, an exhaust gas recirculation means 229 re-circulating exhaust gas of the internal combustion engine to an intake side, a flow adjusting means 208 capable of increasing and decreasing intensity of flow of supplied fuel and re-circulated exhaust gas in a cylinder of the internal combustion engine, a stop control means 100 controlling fuel supply means to stop fuel supply and controlling exhaust gas recirculation means to stop exhaust gas recirculation when a predetermined kind of deceleration operation of the internal combustion engine is performed, and an in-cylinder flow control means 100 controlling flow adjusting means to increase intensity when stop of supply is removed.
