PURPOSE: To smoothly perform control of starting and stopping an elevator.
CONSTITUTION: At the time of starting control, an output command signal I1 given to a linear motor is gradually increased by an integrator 12 from zero to a precalculated command value to serve as an actual output command signal I1', and the signal, when it reaches the command value, is switched to the output command signal I1 by a signal switching circuit 13 and output. On the other hand, at the time o-stopping control, an output command signal I2 is gradually increased from zero to the command value by an integrator 22 and also compared with an output signal a' of the integrator 22 by a subtracter 23 with a signal of difference between these output and output command signals serving as an actual output command signal I2. Thus by eliminating a quick change in a current supplied to a primary side of the linear motor, vibration of an elevator cage at the time of control can be suppressed.
