Abstract:
To provide a device and a method for decreasing a moisture content of sediment, which can efficiently decrease the moisture content of the sediment in a space-saving manner in a short period of time.
A device 10 for decreasing a moisture content of sediment includes: a vertical cylinder-like casing 20 which can be mounted on a continuous conveyance line for the sediment, which has a sediment introduction port provided in an upper portion and which has a sediment outlet provided in a lower portion; crushing means 30 for crushing the sediment by applying an impact to the sediment falling inside the casing 20 by a rotary striking body 49; and warm air supply means 50 for supplying warm air to the sediment falling inside the casing 20.
